ABOUT AEON RT
Our AEON RTs are an updated version of the now-discontinued AEON Flows, built with the goal of becoming the highest-quality Hi-Fi headphone available for under $500. Our makeover boosted the bass presence of the AEON RT Closed, adjusted its tone to be smoother and better-balanced, and introduced a more playful vibe, while our AEON RT Open has a lighter midrange and expanded, more immersive soundstage.

The Complete AEON RT Story
When we first launched the AEON Flow series in 2017, we set out to create a premium headphone experience at a more accessible price point. After years of feedback and technological advancements, we knew it was time for an upgrade.
The AEON RT (Revised Tuning) represents everything we've learned about headphone design since the original release. We've refined the driver technology, improved the comfort, and most importantly, completely reimagined the sound signature.
For the Closed version, we've enhanced the bass response and created a smoother, more balanced tonal character that works beautifully with electronic music and modern recordings. The Open version delivers a lighter, more airy midrange with an expansive soundstage that brings classical and acoustic recordings to life.
Every pair is still handcrafted in our San Diego workshop by our team of dedicated audio engineers and craftspeople who share a passion for exceptional sound.

Getting Started
- Unbox your AEON RT headphones carefully.
- Adjust the headband for a comfortable fit.
- Connect the included cable to the headphone and your audio source.
- Start at a low volume and adjust as needed.

- Clean ear pads with a slightly damp cloth.
- Store in the provided case when not in use.
- Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures or humidity.

"Our AEONs have been a line staple for many years, but we understand that most people can't afford $800 headphones. The AEON RTs were a team effort to make major affordability and sound adjustments to an old classic. The AEON RT Closed was our first headphone that essentially conformed to the Harman Curve, and to this day it's one of our most popular models because of its exceptionally natural tonality, fun and engaging bass, and affordable price point. The AEON RT Open has a warmer tonality than the closed, for those who are looking for more of a coloration to emphasize the lower bass and midrange - a great fit for genres like punk rock or heavy metal, where recordings can be bright or strident.
As with all our headphones, you'll want to use a decent-quality DAC/Amp combo (desktop or portable). Fortunately, in recent years there's been a huge surge in quality products available for under $500, many of which are great pairings with the RT. Make sure you're not using something like your phone - it's not sufficient to power these!"

This is our electrostatic headphone cable. Unlike traditional flat ribbon electrostatic cables that are heavy and inconvenient, the VOCE cable is round, lightweight, supple and very non-microphonic (no self-noise). The connector is made from machined Teflon, with machined OFC gold plated copper pins, and the cable is a fully custom design, using silver-plated conductors for optimal sound.
